Big news from the IPM Facilities team!

At IPM Facilities, we believe managing buildings, spaces, and places responsibly means caring for our communities, our people and our planet.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news: our greenhouse gas reduction targets have officially been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Even better, they’ve been validated as aligned with the 1.5°C pathway, the most ambitious target possible.

Why does this matter?

The 1.5°C goal isn’t just a number; it’s the level scientists say is needed to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. It’s backed by science and verified by global experts. By meeting this standard, we’re moving beyond offsets and committing to real, year-on-year emission cuts.

This is a huge milestone in our sustainability journey. Having been carbon neutral under PAS 2060, we’re now going even further: committing to real, measurable reductions in our emissions on the path to becoming a net zero business by 2030.

What this means for our clients and partners:

  • You can be confident that working with IPM means working with a facilities partner who is serious about sustainability.

  • Our actions support your supply chain goals and help reduce your own carbon footprint.

  • Together, we can raise the bar for the facilities management industry and prove that site operations and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

This achievement didn’t happen overnight — it took months of rigorous validation, countless data points, and a clear, forward-looking plan. It’s also thanks to our incredible compliance team, who make milestones like this possible.

“Committing to SBTi underlines the importance we place on environmental stewardship here at IPM. We recognise the drive to Net Zero is essential for a better future, but also to align with our client’s sustainability goals. SBTi is one of many steps we are taking to bring our ESG strategy to the fore of our offering, as an industry leading service provider”

Mark Noakes CEO

Official approval will be live on the SBTi website from 9 November 2025, but we wanted to celebrate early with our community.

Here’s to setting bold targets, taking real action, and building a greener future together.
