At IPM Facilities, we believe responsible facilities management means caring for our communities, our people, and our planet.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share that our greenhouse gas reduction targets have officially been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Even better, they’ve been validated as aligned with the 1.5°C pathway, the most ambitious target possible.

A milestone in our sustainability journey

The 1.5°C goal is critical. It represents the level scientists say is needed to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. By meeting this standard, IPM moves beyond carbon offsets, committing to real, measurable reductions in emissions each year.

This is a huge milestone in our sustainability journey. Having already achieved carbon neutrality under PAS 2060, we are now taking the next step toward becoming a net zero business by 2030.

What this means for our clients and partners:

  • Working with IPM Facilities means collaborating with a partner serious about sustainability.

  • Our actions support your supply chain goals and help reduce your own carbon footprint.

  • Together, we can raise the bar for the facilities management industry, proving that operational excellence and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

ESG commitment beyond compliance

This achievement didn’t happen overnight. It required months of rigorous validation, countless data points, and a clear, forward-looking plan. It’s also thanks to our incredible team, who make milestones like this possible.

Mark Noakes, CEO said:

“Committing to SBTi underlines the importance we place on environmental stewardship here at IPM. We recognise the drive to Net Zero is essential for a better future, but also to align with our client’s sustainability goals. SBTi is one of many steps we are taking to bring our ESG strategy to the front of our offering, as an industry leading service provider.”

Looking ahead: Driving our ESG Strategy toward Net Zero by 2030

Official SBTi approval will be live from 9 November 2025, but we wanted to celebrate this milestone early with our community. Achieving Net Zero by 2030 is more than a target. It’s part of a broader commitment to our ESG strategy, embedding environmental, social, and governance principles into everything we do.

Through initiatives like Biodiversity Solutions, Nature Experiences, and sustainable operational practices, IPM Facilities is creating real, measurable impact for clients, communities, and the environment. These actions reinforce our responsibility to reduce emissions, support pollinators, conserve natural habitats, and inspire others in the industry to follow suit.

We are proud of the whole IPM team for setting ambitious targets, taking real action, and building a greener, more sustainable future together.
