IPM has worked in close collaboration with project partners Workman and local charity, Cody Dock, to transform a previously underused site in East London into a new Wildlife Pocket Park. This project reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and creating valued urban green space.

Located on the banks of the River Lea, this project has turned a neglected area into a vibrant ecological garden. The design introduces wildflower meadows and diverse planting beds, including species chosen to support pollinators. Additional ecological features, such as bee posts and bug hotels, help establish important wildlife habitats within this urban setting.

Importantly, this space is not only about biodiversity. It is about community. Volunteers from Cody Dock will play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the garden, supported by their therapeutic gardening club. Activities such as watering, weeding and seasonal planting will help ensure the space continues to flourish while providing meaningful wellbeing opportunities for participants.

This project demonstrates the value of collaboration between clients, delivery partners and local groups in transforming underused sites into lasting environmental and community assets.
We all look forward to seeing this wildlife park bloom in the upcoming weeks as we enter the Spring and Summer months.
