Thoughts on 2020 and Christmas wishes from the MD

It is very hard to sum up 2020 in a few sentences, but I will try. 2020 has been an extraordinary year to say the least! And no one would have predicted this time last year what 2020 would hold for us all.

It's been a heart breaking, tragic year filled with loss, chaos, and immeasurable stress.

Many will wonder if any year could ever get any worse, following a string of wild fires in Australia, airplane crashes, social unrest across the globe, the deadly fertiliser explosion in Beirut, and numerous other natural disasters and of course Brexit – all under the cloud of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

2020 will certainly be remembered as the year of the pandemic and Covid-19 and has touched and impacted on everyone across the world.

We have learnt new words like furlough! We have had to adapt to the restrictions set by Governments across the globe, we have learnt new ways to communicate and care for one another and most of all we have finally realised we live on a fragile planet and it’s our responsibility to protect our planet and ourselves.

As we reach the end of this chaotic year, I personally would like to thank all our employees here at IPM facilities, all our suppliers and all our clients for showing great courage and resilience through a year of great uncertainty.

Finally I would like to wish everyone and their families associated with IPM Facilities, a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Safe and Healthy New Year.
