Gritting Service

Don’t be caught unprepared:

The HSE 1992 Act (now including the HSE preventing slip and trips at work 2005 Act) states that in abnormal weather conditions, arrangements should be made to minimize risks from snow and ice on pathways and traffic routes. Meeting the requirements of this regulation can involve salt – gritting and snow clearance.

We use the Met Office as part of our weather watch.

With society increasingly resorting to litigation for financial gain when accidents occur, we strive to give you the peace of mind, safe in the confidence that you have a winter salting service that adheres to all the HSE requirements

* Retail parks

Winter snow and ice on the landscape may look nice but it can be dangerous especially on roads and footpaths. When the temperatures plummet to sub-zero depths or it starts to snow, IPM Facilities can ensure that your company’s car parks and roads are clean and clear, giving your staff, clients and customers safe passage on a hazardous day.

IPM Facilities provide a unique salting / gritting service especially for:

* Retail parks

IPM Facilities will conduct designated salting / gritting services for your company from October through to March. The surfaces will be treated according to weather forecasts for the following day.

Automatic call out system

Our automatic call out system is based on the following criteria:

Each evening at approximately 16.00hrs, IPM Facilities will receive detailed weather information for the rest of the evening and the following morning direct from the Met Office

If the forecast for that evening and the following morning highlights that the temperature will be 0º and below anytime between the hours of 20.00hrs and 07.00hrs the next day, we will automatically attend your site, salt all roads and pathways before the normal working day commences.
